Winter of Desire - (Bonus Tracks)

by Rachel Mayfield

1.
Take me to God Now you've made us able To pull up a chair And sit at his table The invite is sent So before we relent Eat, drink, eat Take me to God Set ashore those sea men They've seen such a storm It's it's time to free them Onto dry land with the touch of my hand Push, pull, push Take me to God As I climb the mountain Rest on the rocks And echo your shouting Look, there's his light It's pure, and it's bright Run. run, run, run I have seen God And it's as it should be It's what he wanted For you and for me And all of the world Though it's been denied Because someone lied Someone lied, someone lied When it's the one Go to the sun
2.
The Mysterious Thing Serenity, dependency, tolerance, humility Believing in religions, understanding race divisions Space, society Secular anxiety, no Love, love, that's the mysterious thing Love, love, without it These mean nothing Love, love It's hard if you're not feeling it And hard sometimes believing in Love Riches, regretting things Families and wedding rings Neuro-theology, escapology Sexy positions Truth, lies, transitions, no Love, love, that's the mysterious thing Love, love, love, without it All of this means nothing Love, love It's hard if you're not feeling it And hard sometimes believing in Love Oh nothing ever is enough Until I've learned how to love Until I've learned that I'm worthy of My love
